Asia-Pacific AI Agent Market to Surge 14-Fold to US$11.2 Billion by 2030: Omdia
Omdia forecasts Asia-Pacific AI agent software revenue will grow from $782 million to $11.2 billion by 2030.
Revenue from AI agent software across Asia, Australia and New Zealand is forecast to reach US$11.2 billion by 2030, compared with an estimated US$782 million this year, according to research firm Omdia.
The projection covers regional market revenue that includes mainland China and Hong Kong. The market is set to expand more than 14-fold by 2030 as Chinese technology companies increasingly deploy automated tools across office and industrial operations, Omdia said.
At its annual event in Beijing on Thursday, Omdia forecast the regional revenue figure for 2030. The estimate points to a wider role for agentic software in the region’s artificial intelligence market as companies apply these tools to workplace and industrial tasks.
Agentic software to gain share
The agentic share of the region’s AI software revenue is projected to rise to 12.3 per cent from 1.7 per cent over the same period. That change indicates that AI agents are expected to account for a larger portion of software revenue by 2030.
AI agents use models to autonomously plan and carry out multi-step tasks, including data analysis, report writing and software operations. They allow users to delegate work that would otherwise require repeated instructions.
Omdia’s forecast links the market’s expansion to the increasing deployment of these automated tools by Chinese technology companies across office and industrial operations.
