Amethi Complaint Alleges Permanent House Built On Pond Land

An allegation of illegal encroachment on pond land has been made in Dichauli village of Jagdishpur, under the Musafirkhana tehsil area of Amethi district. It has been alleged that a permanent house was built on land recorded as a pond under Gata Number 522.

Village resident Praveen Kumar Singh has submitted an application to the District Magistrate, seeking an investigation into the matter and the removal of the alleged encroachment from the pond land.

In the application submitted to the District Magistrate, Praveen Kumar Singh stated that Gata Number 522 in the village is recorded as a pond. The area of the land has been stated to be approximately 10 acres.

The application alleges that Vijay Kumar, also known as Chetan, son of Siyaram, along with some other people, has occupied part of the pond land by constructing a permanent house there. The allegation concerns land in Dichauli village under the Musafirkhana tehsil area.

The complainant has requested that the matter be investigated and that action be taken against the people concerned according to the rules if the allegations are confirmed. He has also sought the removal of the encroachment and the restoration of the pond land to an encroachment-free status.

Praveen Kumar Singh has appealed to the District Magistrate to issue an appropriate order in the case and ensure that the complaint is examined.

Following the complaint, attention is now on the administrative inquiry. The revenue department’s investigation will establish whether the allegations of encroachment on the pond land are confirmed. So far, no official response from the administration has been made public regarding the allegations mentioned in the application.
