Akhilesh Yadav To Visit Rae Bareli Tomorrow

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is scheduled to reach Rae Bareli on 24 September, with party workers preparing for his visit and a public meeting in the district.

According to the information available, Akhilesh Yadav will arrive in Rae Bareli on the PDA Rath prepared for the 2027 Assembly election campaign. During the visit, he is also expected to address a public meeting at the GIC ground at around 3:00.

The visit comes in the backdrop of an incident in Rae Bareli on the 17th, when a clash and commotion took place between the Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha and the ABVP. After this, police personnel were accused of pushing and assaulting Samajwadi Party workers. A video had also surfaced showing pushing and assault involving SP MLA Rahul Lodhi.

Following the incident, the SP chief had criticised it from a public platform and said he would come to Rae Bareli to have tea at Rahul Lodhi’s house. It is being seen that Akhilesh Yadav is now reaching Rae Bareli to fulfil that promise.

At the same time, his arrival on the PDA Rath before the 2027 election is being considered politically significant in this district, which has the highest number of SP MLAs.

Senior Samajwadi Party leader Manish Devpal from the Sareni Assembly constituency said all preparations have been completed. He said Akhilesh Yadav will be given a grand welcome with around 500 workers, and all arrangements for the reception have been finalised.
