Air Commodore Sailani Urges NCC Cadets to Safeguard National Unity
Air Commodore Narsingh Sailani urged NCC cadets at a Krishna district camp to promote national unity, cultural understanding and brotherhood.
Air Commodore Narsingh Sailani, Deputy Director General of the NCC for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, said NCC cadets should take an active role in safeguarding the unity and integrity of the nation. He urged them to promote friendship, mutual understanding and a spirit of brotherhood among people from different backgrounds.
Sailani made the remarks while addressing cadets during his visit to a special national integration camp being held at Sri Viswashanthi High School in Gandigunta in Krishna district. He said national integration could be strengthened by encouraging young people from different parts of the country to understand and respect one another’s cultures and traditions.
Around 300 NCC cadets representing 16 directorates from across the country are participating in the 10-day camp.
Camp promotes interaction across cultures
Sailani described the camp as a true embodiment of the National Cadet Corps’ motto, “Unity and Discipline”. He said it offered an ideal platform for cadets to interact, exchange ideas and foster national unity.
The camp’s focus on interaction is linked to the wider aim of helping cadets understand the country’s diverse cultures, customs and traditions. Sailani said such activities help instil discipline, leadership, teamwork, mutual cooperation and brotherhood among young people. He added that they enable cadets to gain a deeper understanding of the different cultures, customs and traditions followed across the country.
Emphasis on “Unity in Diversity”
Stressing the importance of the principle of “Unity in Diversity”, Sailani said NCC camps play a significant role in strengthening national integration and nurturing a sense of national pride among youth. The 10-day camp, he said, would leave cadets with valuable lessons and memorable experiences to cherish throughout their lives.
