The meeting was held late Monday night at the residence of Riyaz Ahmad, the AIMIM Chandausi city president and councillor, in Golaganj. Asad Abdullah discussed the party’s election preparations with the workers and urged them to start working towards the Assembly polls.
Addressing the workers, Asad Abdullah said, “All the parties that came into politics used Muslims only as a vote bank. We now need our own leadership.” He also referred to the Sachar Committee report and said it had described the condition of Muslims as becoming worse.
He said, “The Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, Congress and all the other parties used Muslims only as a vote bank and did not give them a share anywhere.”
Asad Abdullah further said that when Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi spoke about the rights of Muslims, these parties repeatedly described Owaisi as the BJP’s B team. He added, “In reality, they themselves are the BJP’s B team.”
