Young Man Killed as Tractor Overturns in Hathras, Villagers Block Road

A young man was killed after a tractor overturned near Chandpura village in the Sikandra Rao police station area of Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. Following the accident, a large number of villagers gathered at the spot and tried to block the road. Police and administrative officials reached the site with a police force and brought the situation under control after speaking to the villagers.

The accident took place on Saturday near Chandpura village. According to the information available, Muninder Singh, son of Ramveer Singh and a resident of Chandpura village, was travelling from Chandpura towards Toli on a tractor.

The tractor suddenly went out of control on the way and overturned. Muninder Singh suffered serious injuries in the accident and died at the spot. The incident led to anger among the villagers, who attempted to impose a road blockade.

As soon as the information was received, CO Sikandra Rao Amit Pathak, SDM Dharvendra Singh and station in-charge Shiv Kumar Sharma reached the spot along with the police force. The officials spoke to the villagers and persuaded them to remove the blockade. Traffic was then restored on the road.

During the proceedings, an argument also took place between sub-inspector Satyendra Gautam and some villagers. However, police and administrative officials intervened and managed the situation. The atmosphere at the spot was subsequently brought under control.

After this, the police took the deceased’s body into custody, completed the necessary legal action and sent it for post-mortem examination.

News of the accident caused turmoil in the family of Muninder Singh. There is also grief in Chandpura village following the death. The police are carrying out further necessary action in the case.
