Young Man Consumes Poisonous Substance, Alleges Pressure Over Marriage Dispute

A young man, reportedly distressed over a family dispute and a marriage conducted against his wishes, consumed a poisonous substance in Nagla Nai village under the jurisdiction of Sasni police station. His condition deteriorated after the incident, following which he himself called the 108 ambulance and reached the Community Health Centre (CHC). Doctors provided him initial treatment and referred him to the district hospital after finding his condition serious.

According to the information available, Udayraj, son of Gajraj and a resident of Nagla Nai village, consumed the poisonous substance at around 11 pm late on Friday night.

The young man said that his family had arranged his marriage against his wishes. He alleged that his wife was speaking to another young man and had expressed a desire to live with him. Udayraj said that when he objected to this, people from both her parental side and her marital side put pressure on him.

It is being reported that the young man took the step after becoming परेशान by the family dispute and the circumstances surrounding the marriage. After consuming the poisonous substance, he began feeling worse and informed the 108 ambulance himself.

With the help of the ambulance, Udayraj reached the Sasni CHC. Doctors on duty in the emergency department provided him primary treatment. As his condition was described as serious, he was referred from the CHC to the district hospital for further treatment.
