A woman was bitten by a snake early in the morning when she opened the door of her house in Kohrāv village under Patti police station area of Pratapgarh, and her son captured the reptile in a container and brought both his mother and the snake to the hospital.
Kevla Devi, wife of Somnath Gupta, woke up at around 4:30 in the morning. As soon as she opened the door, a snake that was clinging there bit her. On receiving information, her son Lal Bahadur caught the snake in a container and took his mother to Patti Community Health Centre.
The doctor gave instructions to release the snake in the forest. After treatment at the CHC, Kevla Devi's condition is now being reported as stable.
