The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) results for 2026 were officially declared on June 18, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access their results on the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in.
This year, the WBJEE was conducted on May 24, 2026, to facilitate admissions into undergraduate programmes in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture across institutions in West Bengal. A total of 1,20,856 candidates registered for the exam, out of which 94,001 appeared, resulting in a participation rate of 78.52 per cent.
Out of the total participants, 67,378 were male candidates (71 per cent), 27,521 were female candidates (29 per cent), and 2 candidates identified as third gender. A remarkable 92,753 candidates successfully qualified for the exam, reflecting a success rate of 97.74 per cent. Among the qualifiers, 66,383 were male (71.57 per cent), and 26,368 were female (28.43 per cent).
Geographically, 73,665 candidates hailed from within West Bengal, while 19,088 appeared from outside the state.
How to Check WBJEE 2026 Results
To access their results, candidates should:
1. Visit the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in.
2. Click on the “WBJEE Results 2026” link available on the homepage.
3. Enter their login credentials.
4. View and download their rank card for future reference.
The result is presented in the form of a rank card, which includes subject-wise scores, total score, qualifying status, and merit rank. Qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling process, the details of which will be announced separately by the board.
Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme
The WBJEE 2026 question paper was divided into three categories:
- Category 1: Each correct answer awarded 1 mark, with a penalty of 0.25 marks for incorrect answers.
- Category 2: Each correct answer awarded 2 marks, with a penalty of 0.5 marks for incorrect answers.
- Category 3: Each correct answer awarded 2 marks, but no negative marking was applied. However, if any incorrect option was marked, no marks were awarded for that question. Candidates could earn proportionate marks in Category 3 if they selected some, but not all, correct options, provided no incorrect option was marked. Unattempted questions in all categories received zero marks.
