The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a significant increase in the honorarium and benefits for cooks working in government schools and welfare programs across the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the package from Lucknow through a live broadcast that was relayed to districts statewide, including an honor ceremony held at Eco Park in Maati, Kanpur Dehat, where a large number of cooks gathered to witness the announcement.

Under the new scheme, cooks will now receive a monthly honorarium of three thousand rupees, a thousand rupees more than the previous amount of two thousand rupees. Additionally, the government has introduced medical facilities worth up to five lakh rupees and accident insurance coverage of two lakh rupees for the cooks. These measures are aimed at providing financial stability and security to the workers who play a crucial role in delivering meals under government welfare programs.

The event in Kanpur Dehat was led by District Magistrate Kapil Singh and attended by State Minister Pratibha Shukla as the chief guest. Cooks from across the district participated in the ceremony, expressing their happiness over the government's decision. They stated that the increased honorarium would provide much-needed economic support, while the medical and insurance benefits would offer their families security during difficult times.

Speaking at the event, State Minister Pratibha Shukla emphasized that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government is continuously working for the welfare of the poor, needy, and working classes, ensuring that government schemes reach eligible beneficiaries directly. District Magistrate Kapil Singh added that the decision would strengthen cooks economically while providing them with health and accident protection. The ceremony was also attended by Zila Panchayat President Neeraj Rani, Chief Development Officer Vidhan Jaiswal, Basic Education Officer Ashish Pandey, and other officials and public representatives, underscoring the administration's commitment to welfare delivery.
