Uttar Pradesh government reshuffles 17 IAS officers across districts and departments

The Uttar Pradesh government has executed a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 17 Indian Administrative Service officers across key positions in districts and departments. The transfers see several senior bureaucrats moved to new postings, with some officials taking on additional charges and others being relieved from their current responsibilities.

Among the notable transfers, Sangita Singh has been appointed as the Divisional Commissioner of Moradabad, while Om Prakash Arya takes charge as Divisional Commissioner of Aligarh. Gauri Shankar Priyadarshi has been named Director General of AYUSH and Mission Director of the National AYUSH Mission in Uttar Pradesh. Chaithra V has been posted as Member (Administrative) of the Revenue Council in Lucknow, and Pramod Kumar Upadhyay has been appointed Commissioner of Rural Development.

The reshuffle also includes changes in the state's urban water management sector. Ravindra Kumar has been designated Managing Director of the Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban) and State Mission Director of AMRIT. Masum Ali Sarwar will hold additional charge of this position while continuing as Secretary of the Planning Department and Director General of Economics and Statistics. Dr Raj Shekhar takes over as full-time Secretary of Planning and Director General of Economics and Statistics, while Yogesh Kumar has been appointed Managing Director of UP Jal Nigam (Rural).

Other significant appointments include Kumar Prashant as Commissioner and Registrar of Cooperatives, Gurrala Sreenivasulu as Secretary of the UP State Information Commission, and Amrit Pal Kaur as Joint Managing Director of the UP Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation. Navneet Sahara has been relieved from the same post. At the department level, Devendra Kumar Pandey, Vivek Srivastava, Amrit Tripathi, and Om Prakash Rai have been posted as Special Secretaries in Consumer Affairs, Animal Husbandry, and Higher Education departments respectively, with Tripathi also serving as Member (Judicial) of the Revenue Council in Prayagraj.
