Ujjain DIG’s Roadside Meal Photo Goes Viral Amid Mosque Tension

Amid tension in Ujjain over the mosque dispute, a picture of DIG Navneet Bhasin’s simplicity is being widely shared on social media, with the officer seen eating while sitting on a roadside footpath.

The situation in Ujjain has remained tense after the unrest during the Simhastha-2028 route-widening work and the action to remove the Shahi Masjid. In this atmosphere, police and administration officials have been continuously engaged in handling law and order on the ground.

It is against this backdrop that the picture of DIG Navneet Bhasin has gone viral. In the image, DIG Bhasin is seen sitting by the roadside, on a footpath bench and a boundary, eating his meal in a very simple manner.

The photograph is being seen as a glimpse of how officers are staying present at the spot and carrying out their responsibilities despite tense conditions, continuous duty and the challenge of maintaining law and order.

There is no pomp, no formality, only duty and responsibility.

The picture from Ujjain sends a clear message: for officers handling the situation in the field, work and responsibility come first, even in challenging circumstances.
