Shobhit Kumar Sharma reported from Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, where a major road accident took place on the Agra-Aligarh Highway near the Hathras-Agra border on Saturday. Two dumpers collided head-on, and both vehicles caught fire after the impact.

The collision was so powerful that flames quickly began rising from both dumpers. Thick black smoke spread across the highway as the fire continued to burn. The intense flames created panic at the spot, with people trying to keep away from the burning vehicles.

As a safety measure, police stopped traffic on both sides of the highway. The move led to long queues of vehicles on the road. Commuters and other passers-by faced considerable difficulty because traffic could not move through the affected stretch.

Soon after receiving information about the accident, police teams from Hathras and Agra reached the spot. The police took control of traffic management at the scene and stopped people from going near the fire. The fire department was also informed about the blaze.

However, by the time the report was being written, fire tenders had not yet reached the spot. Black smoke was continuing to rise from both dumpers. Police were appealing to people to stay away from the accident site while the vehicles remained on fire.

According to the police, traffic on the highway will be restored only after the fire has been brought under control and the situation returns to normal. Until then, both sides of the road will remain affected by the stoppage.

So far, there has been no information about anyone being killed or injured in the accident. The police are investigating the causes of the collision.
