Tiranga Yatra in Bahraich Promotes Patriotism Ahead of Independence Day

A grand ‘Tiranga Yatra’ was organized in Bahraich on August 14, 2026, under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Srivastava as part of the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. The initiative aimed to strengthen patriotism and foster respect for the national flag among citizens ahead of Independence Day.

The procession witnessed enthusiastic participation from senior police officials, including Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Ayush Vikram Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Durga Prasad Tiwari, Circle Officers, and other police personnel. Carrying the tricolor in their hands, the participants marched to the tunes of patriotic songs, spreading messages of national unity, love for the country, and respect for the flag.

The yatra commenced from the Police Lines in Bahraich and passed through key city landmarks like Hospital Chauraha and Pani Tanki Chauraha before concluding back at the Police Lines. Through this event, residents were encouraged to hoist the national flag at their homes, workplaces, and institutions on Independence Day as a mark of respect and pride.

Addressing the gathering, SP Vishwajeet Srivastava emphasized the importance of the campaign, stating, “The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative aims to deepen the sense of patriotism, national unity, and duty towards the country. The tricolor symbolizes our nation’s unity, integrity, and pride. Let us dedicate ourselves to the protection, peace, and progress of the country while fulfilling our responsibilities with a spirit of patriotism.”

The event also included an appeal to citizens to actively participate in the campaign by hoisting the tricolor and prioritizing national interests. The police urged everyone to contribute to the nation’s development and ensure the success of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement.
