Shravasti Power Hit After Storm Damages 433 Poles

Power supply has been disrupted in Shravasti after a severe storm damaged electricity infrastructure across the Electricity Distribution Division, Shravasti, according to a press note issued by the Executive Engineer, Electricity Distribution Division, Shravasti.

The press note said that under Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd., the lines of all 33/11 ज्ञट substations operated under the Electricity Distribution Division, Shravasti, were damaged in the severe storm that hit on August 26 and 27.

According to the information shared, a total of 433 poles have been damaged. These include double poles at 25 transformer locations.

Work to restore supply has been going on continuously since last night. The press note said trees that had fallen on poles and electricity lines are being cut and cleared so that power supply can be brought back.

So far, supply has been restored smoothly to the District Court Bhinga, along with the 33/11 ाअ substation Bhinga, Bhinga प्च्क्ै and the 33 ाअ line of Katra.

However, the 11 ाअ supply of all substations under the division, except Bhinga Town, is still disrupted. The press note said all employees, along with the working agencies, are continuously engaged in efforts to restore it.

Power supply in Bhinga city has been switched on. The note added that it is likely to take time for supply across the district to be fully restored.
