A meeting of the व्यापारी सुरक्षा प्रकोष्ठ was held today at the police lines auditorium in Bahjoi under the chairmanship of Police Circle Officer Mrs. Stuti Singh. Traders from different areas of Sambhal district attended the meeting and placed their business-related problems before the police.

The main issues raised during the meeting included traffic jams caused by e-rickshaws, the need for traffic lights at busy intersections, security in markets, encroachment and increased police patrolling.

Shah Alam Mansoori, the youth state minister of the Akhil Bharatiya Udyog Vyapar Mandal, who had come from Chandausi, prominently raised the issue of traffic jams caused by e-rickshaws in the town. He suggested that the town should be divided into 4 zones.

He further proposed that every e-rickshaw driver should be given a colour code and a number, and that a fixed route should be assigned to each vehicle. According to the proposal, this would help stop the unregulated operation of e-rickshaws and provide relief from traffic jams in the town.

Sagar Gupta, the youth district president of the Akhil Bharatiya Udyog Vyapar Mandal, Sambhal, demanded improvements in the traffic system to prevent road accidents in the town.

He called for red lights, or traffic lights, to be installed at four busy intersections: Pathra Mod, Vishwakarma Dharam Kanta, Badaun Chungi and Fawwara Chowk. The demand was raised with the aim of helping prevent accidents at these locations.

Local traders from Bahjoi also placed their concerns related to security in the markets, encroachment and the need to increase police patrolling.
