Samajwadi Party Leader Alleges One-Sided Action in Kanpur Dehat Land Dispute

The firing and assault case linked to a land dispute in Salawatpur village of Kanpur Dehat has now taken a political turn. Seeking impartial action, Samajwadi Party’s former district president वीरसेन यादव met Superintendent of Police श्रद्धा नरेंद्र पांडे along with several party workers and supporters.

The Samajwadi Party leaders described the police action as one-sided. They demanded that a case also be registered on the basis of the complaint from the other side.

The entire matter concerns Salawatpur village in Kanpur Dehat, where two groups were involved in an assault and firing over a land dispute a few days ago. It was reported that a young man was injured during the incident. A video of the incident has also surfaced.

Police have registered a case on the complaint of one side and have started taking action in the matter. The Samajwadi Party leaders have now questioned the manner in which the case is being handled and have asked the police to hear the complaint of the other side as well.

After reaching the office of the Superintendent of Police, वीरसेन यादव and the party workers demanded that the complaint from the second side be properly considered. They asked that a case be registered according to the rules if the complaint supports such action.

The party leaders also said that statements of the people present at the spot during the incident should be recorded as part of the investigation. According to them, recording these statements is necessary for the complete truth of the matter to come out and to ensure that no one faces injustice.

They demanded an impartial investigation and action based on the facts of the case. The police have assured them that the matter will be investigated impartially and action will be taken.
