Rahul Gandhi visits Raibareli for two-day constituency outreach programme

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is on a two-day visit to Raibareli, his parliamentary constituency.

During the visit, Rahul Gandhi held discussions with jewellery traders in Prabhu Town. After the dialogue programme, he reached Bhuemau Guest House and will stay overnight at the MP residence.

The Congress MP also met with girl students during the day.

On the morning of 9 September, Rahul Gandhi will meet party leaders starting from 8 am. He will hold a public grievance session, or janata darbar, to listen to the problems of the district residents. He will also meet with office-bearers of the Central Bar Association.

The Raibareli MP will perform foundation stone-laying ceremonies and inaugurations of projects under the MP Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) funds.

At 11:30 am, Rahul Gandhi will attend a DISHA meeting at the collectorate premises, where he will preside over the proceedings. DISHA, or District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee, is a platform for MPs to monitor development schemes in their constituencies.

After the meeting, Rahul Gandhi will leave for Delhi.
