Prof Daksha Amonkar Takes Charge As GS Medical College Dean

Prof. Dr. Daksha Amonkar has taken charge as Dean of GS Medical College, marking a leadership change at the Medical College and Hospital of GS University.

A farewell and welcome ceremony was organised on the occasion at the GS University Medical College and Hospital. The event was held with dignity at the GS Hospital Auditorium, where the outgoing Dean, Prof. Dr. Pradeep Garg, was given a farewell and the newly appointed Dean, Prof. Dr. Daksha Amonkar, was warmly welcomed and felicitated by the GS Medical College and Hospital family.

GS University Pro-Chancellor Dr. Ankit Sharma, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rupali Sharma, CEO Dr. Neha Sharma and Director, GS Ayurveda, Sonali Sharma were present as chief guests at the ceremony. The programme brought together members of the institution to acknowledge the leadership transition and to recall the contribution of the outgoing Dean.

During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pradeep Garg’s tenure and his notable contribution to the development of the institution were remembered. The GS Medical College and Hospital family expressed respect and gratitude towards him. Experiences and memories connected with his tenure were also shared during the programme.

The event began with the welcome of the guests. Prof. Dr. Madhubala Gaur delivered the welcome address and added to the grace of the ceremony. After this, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Yatish Agarwal recalled the leadership experience of Prof. Dr. Pradeep Garg and his contribution to the institution, while appreciating his tenure.

On assuming the responsibility of Dean, Prof. Dr. Daksha Amonkar emphasised collective efforts to take forward the institution’s academic excellence, quality of medical services, research and overall development. She said that the team spirit of all doctors, faculty members and employees plays an important role in the progress of GS Medical College and Hospital.

The programme was attended by the institution’s Medical Superintendent Dr. Sharad Goyal, Deputy Director Ankit Vij, Manoj Shishoudia, S.N. Singh, C.H.A. Dr. S Kumar, Dr. Bhavna, Dr. Gagan Saxena, Dr. Bhaskar Himadri Kalita, Ravi Bansal, R K Agarwal, Seema Agarwal, Sanjeevani, Raman Kaur, Babbli, Rajesh, Abhinav Sanchan and all heads of departments.
