Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also commemorated the day, acknowledging the “supreme sacrifice” of the soldiers who defended India’s borders during the Kargil conflict. “The nation will forever remain indebted to your courage, valor, and supreme sacrifice,” he stated in a message on X.
