A motorcycle-riding couple suffered serious injuries after an unidentified car struck their vehicle and fled the scene in Aligarh's Lodha police station area.
Shivkumar alias Kabadi, son of Ramjilal, a resident of village Pinjri in Gonda, was riding his motorcycle from the city towards his village on Tuesday evening. He was carrying his wife Sheetal and another woman from a family. Near the Dhaura Palan canal in the Lodha area, an unidentified car hit them and escaped from the spot.
The motorcycle-riding couple were left seriously injured. Sheetal, the wife, was pregnant at the time of the accident.
PRV 8705 personnel who were passing by the scene admitted the husband to a private hospital located at Nada Pul and the wife to a private hospital located at Soot Mill Chauraha. The third woman, who was also injured, reached her home on her own.
No complaint has been filed by the injured persons so far.
