Prashant Kishor Demands Rs 25 Lakh Compensation for Each Affected Family

Vaishali: Anger has reportedly grown among families affected by the boat accident in the Ganga river in Raghopur, with the families seeking compensation even seven days after the incident.

According to the report, some affected families have raised questions over the Chief Minister’s failure to reach the accident site even after seven days.

Jan Suraaj leader Prashant Kishor visited Vaishali and met the families affected by the accident. During the visit, he demanded compensation of 25 lakh rupees for each affected family. The demand has been made as a political statement and should not be understood as an approved assistance amount from the government.

The boat accident has once again brought into focus questions about the safety of people who cross the river, the arrangements for rescue operations and the support provided to affected families after a disaster.
