Bulandshahr’s Chola police have taken action against two notorious cow slaughter accused, Ami Khan and Qasim alias Kasam, by invoking the National Security Act (NSA) against them. The police served the NSA notice to both accused inside the district jail, where they are already lodged.

According to the police, Ami Khan and Qasim alias Kasam are residents of Kaurali village and are known cow slaughter offenders. The action was taken after a case linked to cow slaughter in the forest area of Sutari village. Police said that on the night of 15/16 August 2026, both accused, along with their associates, carried out cow slaughter in the forest of Sutari village. A case was registered at Chola police station in connection with the incident. Since then, both accused have been lodged in Bulandshahr district jail.

While in jail, both had filed applications in court seeking bail. Police said they believed that if the two came out of jail, there was a possibility of breach of peace and they could again commit offences such as cow slaughter. On this basis, the NSA was imposed against them on 28 September 2026.

Police records show serious criminal cases against both accused. Qasim has 15 cases registered against him, including attempt to murder, dacoity, murder, extortion and cases under the Goonda Act. Ami Khan has 16 cases registered against him, including cases related to cow protection law, gangster law, Arms Act, robbery and murderous assault.

Police said action against crime in the district will continue.
