New fertilizer warehouse inaugurated in Unnao to boost local agriculture

A new fertilizer warehouse with a capacity of 100 metric tons was inaugurated in Unnao’s Sikanderpur Sarosi block on Monday. The facility, constructed under the RKVY scheme and affiliated with the District Cooperative Bank Limited, Unnao, is located in the village of Aira Bhadiyar. The inauguration was led by Sadar MLA Pankaj Gupta, who also launched a fertilizer distribution program for local farmers during the event.

MLA Gupta was warmly welcomed by committee officials with a bouquet at the ceremony. Following the ribbon-cutting, he personally distributed fertilizers to farmers, marking the commencement of the scheme. Addressing the gathering, Gupta emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring timely availability of fertilizers to farmers. He stated that the modern warehouse would enhance secure storage and smooth distribution, ultimately benefiting agricultural activities and boosting productivity in the region.

Gupta further highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to provide essential agricultural resources to farmers through cooperative societies. He expressed confidence that the new warehouse would significantly improve the convenience and efficiency of fertilizer supply in the area.

The event saw participation from several dignitaries, including B-PACS Secretary Sumit Pal, President Vijay Kumar Tiwari, District Cooperative Bank President Arun Singh, Bank Director Yogendra Tiwari, BJP District Treasurer Amit Tripathi, Mandal President Sarvesh Lodhi, ADC Sadar Manorama Pandey, Assistant Development Officer Chandrashekhar Sharma, and DCDCF Vice President Priyanka Shukla. A large number of farmers also attended the ceremony.

The new facility is expected to address storage and distribution challenges, providing much-needed support to farmers in the region and strengthening agricultural infrastructure.
