Muzaffarnagar Police Arrest 21-Year-Old, Recover Country-Made Pistol, Live Cartridge

A 21-year-old man was arrested in Muzaffarnagar with an illegal country-made pistol and a live cartridge in an operation carried out by the Kotwali Nagar police.

According to the police, the accused was found in possession of one 315-bore country-made pistol and one live cartridge. The police said the arrest was made on 3 October 2026 near a tubewell on the route leading from Shahabuddinpur Road towards Mิมલाना Road.

The accused has been identified as Vicky Saini, a resident under Kotwali Nagar police station. The police said a case has been registered against him under the relevant sections and further action is being taken.

According to the police, several cases had already been registered against the accused. These include a case related to stolen property at Jansath police station, a case under the POCSO Act and other sections at New Mandi police station, and a case under the Arms Act at Kotwali Nagar police station.

The police team involved in the arrest included Sub-Inspector Sonu Kumar, Constable Vinit Kumar and Reserve Constable Arjun. The investigation in the case is being conducted by Sub-Inspector Sahiram Nagar.

The action was carried out by the Kotwali Nagar police as part of an ongoing campaign. The police have described the recovery as one illegal 315-bore country-made pistol and one live cartridge from the accused’s possession.
