Muzaffarnagar Man's Wife Among 4 Arrested For His Murder

Police in Muzaffarnagar have claimed a major breakthrough in the murder of Praveen alias Parvinder, whose killing took place in the forest area of Amhedapur village under the Ratanpuri police station area of the district.

According to police, a joint team of Ratanpuri police and the SOG has arrested four accused in the case, including the deceased man’s wife. The arrested accused have been identified as Rekha, Vikas, Raja alias Kala and Kalyan Singh alias Kallu.

Police said the murder conspiracy was allegedly planned because Praveen had become an obstacle in Rekha’s relationship with Vikas. As per the police version, Rekha was in a relationship with Vikas and wanted to marry him. Praveen was opposing this relationship, and police said this led to a plan to remove him from the way.

According to police, Rekha allegedly promised Vikas that she would sell land and give him Rs 10 lakh. After this, Vikas allegedly brought Raja alias Kala and Kalyan Singh into the conspiracy by luring them with money.

Police said that, as part of the plan, Raja alias Kala used a new SIM to call Praveen and asked him to come to the forest area of Amhedapur. The accused were already present there, police said. Praveen was then shot, and after the firing, all the accused allegedly fled from the spot in a Swift car.

Police said they have recovered two illegal firearms, cartridges, the Swift car allegedly used in the incident, and two mobile phones from the possession of the accused.

Legal action has been started against all the accused, police said. The case details were given in a byte by Sanjay Kumar Verma, SSP Muzaffarnagar. The report is by Anmol Kumar from Muzaffarnagar, 7078215007.
