Muzaffarnagar mother marries widowed daughter-in-law a month after son's death

In Muzaffarnagar, a family has taken an initiative that has presented a different example of relationships and has become an example for society.

In Dayalpuram mohalla of Khatauli town, about one month after the death of her son, a mother arranged the second marriage of her daughter-in-law. The family did not send her away only as a daughter-in-law, but treated her like a daughter and gave her a new start.

During the wedding, the younger brother-in-law also gave his sister-in-law the status of a sister. Taking on the role of a brother, he performed her kanyadaan.

The family’s step is being seen as a rare gesture, where ties were redefined after a personal tragedy.
