MoS Sports Raksha Khadse concludes Ladakh visit under Vibrant Village

Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Khadse, concluded her three-day visit to Ladakh's border villages under the Vibrant Village Programme from June 11 to 13, 2026. The visit aimed to strengthen youth engagement, community development, and coordination with security forces in remote frontier areas.

The visit began with a tribute at Leh's Hall of Fame, where the Minister honored the sacrifices of India's armed forces. She viewed exhibits showcasing the bravery and operational achievements of soldiers who defend the nation's borders under challenging conditions.

On June 12, Khadse visited Hemya village, where she interacted with youth and local communities. Cultural performances by school children and artists highlighted Ladakh's rich heritage. She felicitated ITBP officials, local leaders, and artists for their contributions to community development and national integration. Discussions focused on youth empowerment, skill development, and sports opportunities.

The Minister also visited an ITBP camp, commending personnel for their resilience and role in supporting development initiatives in border areas. She acknowledged their contributions to the Vibrant Village Programme and fostering confidence among local communities.

On the final day, Khadse visited Thiksey Monastery, participating in prayers and interacting with the monastic community. She emphasized the government's commitment to empowering border villages through initiatives like MY Bharat and the Vibrant Village Programme, aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
