Month-Long Public Service Programmes Under Seva Sankalp Campaign

A month-long series of public service programmes will be organised in Kanpur under the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan”, dedicated to the spirit of service and public welfare on the occasion of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji completing 25 years of public service and his birthday.

The campaign will be held under the leadership of senior BJP leader and former MLA Ajay Kapoor ji. According to the information shared at a press conference, different service activities will be organised for one month with the aim of taking the benefits of service to the needy, deprived and weaker sections of society.

Former MLA Ajay Kapoor ji said the programmes under the campaign will include eye testing camps, cataract operations and distribution of spectacles. Health camps will also be organised as part of the initiative. Other planned activities include Ganga Aarti, cleanliness drives, tree plantation, distribution of food to poor and needy people, service to elderly people in old-age homes, and distribution of fruits to patients in hospitals.

The campaign will also include women empowerment programmes and the distribution of educational material to needy children. Useful items will be made available to Divyangjan according to their requirements. Honouring senior citizens and Gau Seva will also be part of the many service activities planned under the campaign.

Ajay Kapoor ji said Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji has given a new direction to public service in his public life by keeping the spirit of “सबका साथ, सबका विकास, सबका विश्वास और सबका प्रयास” at the centre. He said connecting the Prime Minister’s birthday with service and social concern is a symbol of responsibility towards society.

He further said the life of Prime Minister Modi ji has been inspired by the resolve of service to the nation, public welfare, upliftment of the poor, and taking the benefits of development to the person standing in the last line. Inspired by his spirit of service, this campaign will try to reach as many needy people as possible.

Ajay Kapoor ji said service is not just a one-day programme, but a feeling of continuous responsibility and sensitivity towards society. With this objective, service activities will be organised in different areas for a full month, so that the maximum number of people can get direct benefit.

He also appealed to workers and people from all sections of society to take active part in the campaign. He said helping the needy is true public service, and only through collective efforts can this resolve of service take a wider form.

The “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” in Kanpur will therefore cover a wide range of activities, from eye testing and health-related camps to cleanliness, tree plantation, food distribution, support for children, help for Divyangjan, service for the elderly, and activities linked to social welfare. The campaign, as described by Ajay Kapoor ji, is being organised as a month-long expression of service inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s 25 years of public service and his birthday.
