Leopard spotted on Muzaffarnagar road, sparks safety concerns among villagers

A leopard was reportedly sighted late at night on the Roni-Hajipur road in the Charthawai police station area of Muzaffarnagar, causing panic among local residents. A video of an animal spotted on the road is going viral rapidly on social media. The animal visible in the video appears to resemble a leopard, following which an atmosphere of fear has gripped the villagers in the surrounding areas.

Villagers say that if a leopard is indeed present in the area, concerns over people's safety could increase. However, some people are also saying that rumours about the leopard are spreading in the locality. In such a situation, it is necessary to verify the authenticity of the viral video and confirm the identity of the animal.

Villagers have demanded that the forest department and administration conduct an on-site investigation to clarify the actual situation, and if the presence of a leopard is confirmed, take necessary security and capture measures.
