Land Dispute Sparks Uproar, Police Accused Of Pushing Elderly Man From Moving Vehicle As He Dies

A land dispute in Siswara village under the Gilaula police station area of Shravasti turned into a major controversy after an elderly man, identified as Kamlesh, son of Brijlal and a resident of Madarpurwa, died after sustaining serious injuries during a police and revenue team action. The case has triggered serious allegations against the police, with the family claiming that Kamlesh was pushed out of a moving police vehicle, while the police have denied the allegation and said he tried to jump from the vehicle himself.

According to the information available, the incident took place when a revenue team reached the spot along with police in connection with a land dispute. The situation reportedly became tense during the action, leading to a commotion in the village.

Police said that during law-and-order duty, some people were obstructing the revenue action and government work. After this, 5 women and one man were being sent to the police station in a government vehicle.

The police version is that after the vehicle started moving, Kamlesh, son of Brijlal, resident of Madarpurwa, opened the gate of the vehicle and attempted to jump out of the moving vehicle. Police said he suffered serious injuries in the process.

The injured Kamlesh was immediately taken to the CHC. From there, he was referred to the Joint District Hospital, Bhinga. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival at the hospital.

The family of the deceased has made serious allegations against the police. According to the family, women were allegedly beaten during the land dispute, and Kamlesh was thrown out of the police vehicle. The family’s allegations directly contradict the police version of the incident.

Some videos related to the incident are also going viral on social media. It is being claimed that the videos show a dispute between the police and villagers. However, the full circumstances and sequence of events seen in the viral videos remain a matter of investigation, and independent confirmation is still pending.

The death of elderly Kamlesh has made the entire matter even more serious. On one side, the family is accusing the police of wrongdoing. On the other side, the police maintain that Kamlesh himself tried to jump from the moving vehicle.
