Labour Department launches week-long welfare scheme awareness drive in Shravasti

The Labour Department organised an awareness camp in the Gilola development block as part of the Seva Sankalp campaign, which is running across Shravasti district from 17 September to 17 October, 2026. The camp was held at the block auditorium premises in Gilola, where workers were given detailed information about various welfare schemes.

The camp will continue for the entire week. Computer operators Pradeep Sharma and Gokul Prasad explained to participating workers the process of labour registration, renewal, and subsequently how to apply for schemes under the department. Workers were informed about schemes run by the department including the Shishu Matritva evam Balika Madad Yojana, Kanya Vivah Sahayata Yojana, and Atal Avasiya Vidyalaya Yojana, along with other programmes. They were also briefed about schemes operated by the Unorganised Workers Social Security Board, namely the e-Shram card and the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana.

Other employees of the department were present on the occasion, along with a large number of members of the general public. The awareness camp aims to ensure that workers are registered and can access the benefits they are entitled to under various central and state labour welfare schemes throughout the duration of the Seva Sankalp campaign in the district.
