Kanpur Dehat police intensifies security for Barawafat festival celebrations

Kanpur Dehat police has stepped up security arrangements across the district to ensure the Barawafat festival passes off peacefully. On Wednesday, Superintendent of Police Shraddha Narendra Pandey personally inspected security arrangements in Akbarpur town, conducting a foot patrol through sensitive areas and procession routes to assess ground-level preparedness.

During the inspection, SP Pandey reviewed deployment at crowded locations and vulnerable points along the procession path. She briefed officers and personnel on duty, issuing strict instructions to maintain maximum vigilance and readiness. The SP emphasized the need for close coordination among all ranks to prevent any untoward incident and preserve communal harmony during the religious observance.

Pandey directed officers to keep a close watch on crowded and sensitive locations, respond immediately to any suspicious activity or emergency, and ensure smooth traffic management during the procession so that ordinary citizens face no inconvenience in their movement. She also appealed to procession organizers and local residents to cooperate with the administration and follow all guidelines and regulations.

The SP also sought information from local officers about historically sensitive points in the area and stressed the importance of maintaining peace through mutual coordination. Circle Officer Akbarpur Sanjay Singh, Station House Officer Akbarpur Harmeet Singh, and a large police contingent accompanied the SP during the inspection.

Kanpur Dehat police is leaving nothing to chance, with a comprehensive security grid in place to ensure the festival is celebrated in a peaceful and cordial atmosphere.
