Kalinjar Police Arrest 3 For Gambling In Banda
Kalinjar police in Banda arrested 3 people for allegedly gambling by placing bets on wins and losses in the Kalinjar police station area.
According to police, they received information late in the evening of 22 September that gambling was taking place near a dilapidated dome built at Tarahati Kalinjar Belatal. Acting on the information, the police carried out a raid at the spot and arrested three accused from there.
Police said they recovered a total of Rs 5,145 from the gambling spot and from personal searches, along with 52 playing cards and 3 motorcycles. The recovery was made from the spot after the raid.
Police said three other accused managed to escape from the spot by taking advantage of the darkness. In the case, a case has been registered at Kalinjar police station under Section 13 of the Gambling Act.
