International Master (IM) Harsh Suresh held Grandmaster (GM) Iniyan Pa to a draw in the eighth round of the Master’s Section at the 360 ONE Global Chess Festival, being held at the World Trade Centre. Despite this temporary setback, Iniyan remains firmly in the lead, holding a one-point advantage over his competitors. A draw in the final round will secure him the championship title.

In other notable developments, the Challengers Category saw overnight leader Viresh Sharnarthi suffer a surprising defeat against lower-rated Ashirwad Swain from Odisha. This loss dropped Sharnarthi to joint third place alongside six other players, all tied at 6.5 points.
