Hathras Teen Allegedly Molested, Brother Assaulted; Police Probe Viral Video

A case of alleged molestation of a teenage girl and assault on her brother has come to light from a village under the Hathras Junction police station area in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. A video linked to the incident is also going viral on social media. After a complaint by the family, police sent the girl to the district hospital for a medical examination.

According to the information available, the incident took place on September 23, when the teenage girl was going with her brother on a bike to buy some items. It is alleged that, on the way, some people travelling in a four-wheeler stopped their bike and removed the bike’s key.

After this, the girl’s brother was allegedly beaten up. During the incident, a person present there recorded a video, which is now being widely shared on social media.

The family has alleged that, during the assault, the accused molested the teenage girl and tried to forcibly make her sit in the four-wheeler. After the incident, the girl’s mother reached the police station on Tuesday and submitted a complaint to the police, demanding action against the accused.

On the basis of the complaint, police sent the teenage girl to Bagla Combined District Hospital for a medical examination. The girl’s mother also pleaded before the police with folded hands, seeking justice and demanding action in the case.

Police are investigating the matter. The allegations made in the complaint, along with the viral video, are being examined. Police have said the actual circumstances of the incident will become clear only after the investigation into the video and the complaint is completed.

Further legal action will be taken on the basis of the police investigation and the evidence available in the case.

The matter has drawn attention because the family has made serious allegations of molestation, assault, stopping the bike, removing its key and trying to force the girl into a four-wheeler. However, police are still looking into the complaint and the viral video before reaching a conclusion on what exactly happened.
