Administrative officials conducted an on-site inspection of Bagla Joint District Hospital, the Emergency Ward and the Women’s District Hospital in Hathras to review the health arrangements and the services being provided to patients.

During the inspection, the officials gathered information about the number of patients visiting the hospitals, the medical services available, the facilities in place and the overall condition of the arrangements. The review covered the functioning of the hospitals and the practical difficulties being faced in providing services.

Speaking to the media after the inspection, an officer said that the patient footfall at the hospital was quite high. Despite this, doctors and healthcare workers were providing services to patients with full commitment, the officer said.

The officer also pointed out that a shortage of space in the hospital was creating some practical difficulties. The issue of available space was noted during the review of the hospital’s arrangements.

The officer expressed serious concern over the birth of low-weight children in the area and stressed the need to pay special attention to the nutrition and health of pregnant women. The officer said that providing women with adequate nutrition and better health facilities during pregnancy could help improve the health of newborn babies.

The officer further said that, under the leadership of the District Magistrate, several improvements had been made in the health arrangements in recent days. At present, the health services are satisfactory overall, the officer said.

However, the officer added that efforts to further improve the arrangements would continue so that patients could receive better facilities. The inspection was aimed at reviewing the existing health services and understanding the areas where further improvement is needed.
