Hamirpur district seals coaching institutes for lacking fire safety certificates

The Hamirpur district administration has carried out a major crackdown on illegally operating coaching institutes under the direct supervision of District Magistrate Abhishek Goyal.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sadar Abhishek Kumar sealed two libraries and one coaching centre on the spot during the intensive checking drive.

The action was taken against the establishments for operating without fire safety No Objection Certificates and for lacking proper emergency exit arrangements.

The enforcement operation by the district administration has sent shockwaves through the coaching institute sector in Hamirpur.

SDM Sadar Abhishek Kumar was accompanied by the Chief Fire Officer and local police personnel during the enforcement drive.

The action was carried out in the Sadar Kotwali police station area.

SDM Sadar Abhishek Kumar also provided a statement regarding the operation.

The district authorities have made it clear that they will not tolerate any compromise on fire safety norms and emergency preparedness in educational establishments. The sealed premises will remain closed until the operators comply with all mandatory safety requirements and obtain the necessary clearances from the fire department.
