GST raids seal Bulandshahr steel factory over document discrepancies

In a major development from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) department conducted raids on Maa Parvati Steel Private Limited, a factory located in the Shikarpur Kotwali area. The factory, which specializes in iron smelting, has been sealed following the operation.

According to local sources, GST officials had been inspecting the factory for the past two days. During the raids, the department reportedly found discrepancies in the factory's documents, which were not presented despite repeated demands. As a result, the officials sealed the premises to prevent further operations. Two GST department vehicles were stationed at the site throughout the raid.

When questioned by the media, GST officials stated that the investigation is still ongoing. "Further action will be taken after the inquiry is complete," an official said, refraining from sharing additional details at this stage.
