GRP Helps 75-Year-Old Woman Board Train Safely At Shamli Station

The Government Railway Police (GRP) helped an elderly woman who was unable to walk or move properly board a train safely at Shamli railway station and sent her to Thanabhawan. The woman was around 75 years old.

The incident took place on Monday at Shamli railway station. According to GRP station in-charge Pushpendra Kumar, the elderly woman, Bala, a resident of the Thanabhawan area, had reached the station.

Because of her advanced age, Bala was unable to walk properly or sit and stand without difficulty. Seeing her in trouble, female head constable Monika Yadav took her to the GRP help desk. She made the elderly woman sit there and gave her water.

When the train arrived, Monika Yadav helped Bala board it safely. The elderly woman was then sent towards Thanabhawan.

The assistance provided by the GRP team drew appreciation from passengers and local people present at the station. They praised the police personnel for helping the woman and ensuring that she could board the train safely despite her difficulty in moving.

The work was carried out under the leadership of GRP station in-charge Pushpendra Kumar. Passengers at the station appreciated the team’s efforts, while police officials also described the assistance as commendable.
