Ghaziabad siblings set world record on inline skates, to receive Bharat Gaurav Award

Two young inline skaters from Ghaziabad, siblings Nandini and Yug, will be honored with the prestigious Bharat Gaurav Award for their remarkable sporting achievements. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on August 31, 2026, at the Hyatt Centric Rajpur Road in Dehradun, where Uttarakhand Governor and Lieutenant General (Retired) Gurmeet Singh will personally present the honors to the world record holders.

The brother-sister duo earned global recognition in January this year when they completed an arduous 750-kilometer journey from Ghaziabad to Ayodhya on inline skates in the duo category, setting a world record. Despite their tender age, the siblings demonstrated extraordinary sporting talent, discipline and determination by conquering this challenging route. Their accomplishments in skating extend beyond this feat, with impressive performances in the Haridwar journey and multiple gold medals in various skating competitions, establishing a distinct identity at a remarkably young age through consistent practice and dedication to the sport.
