ACP Upasana Pandey Reviews Security At Ghaziabad Ramlila Ground

Ramlila is being staged on a large scale across Ghaziabad on the occasion of Dussehra. To strengthen security arrangements, ACP Upasana Pandey, along with the in-charge of Ghantaghar Kotwali and a police team, visited the Ramlila ground in the Kotwali Nagar police station area and reviewed the security arrangements.

During the inspection, ACP Upasana Pandey gave detailed instructions to the police personnel concerned on the safety of devotees and the public coming to watch the Ramlila, crowd management and the safety of women. She directed the personnel to remain alert on duty and maintain peace and law and order.

The ACP said that religious and cultural events like Ramlila draw a large number of women, children and elderly people. She said special attention must therefore be given to crowd control, entry and exit arrangements, safe areas for women and a quick response in any emergency.

The police team also reviewed the areas around the ground, parking arrangements, CCTV surveillance and traffic management. ACP Upasana Pandey made it clear that any kind of disorder or lapse in security will not be tolerated.

Police said their effort is to ensure that events like Ramlila are held smoothly and that devotees can take part in the religious rituals without any trouble. Police surveillance will continue at the ground and in the surrounding areas.
