Ghaziabad: ACP Priyashri Pal Reviews Wave City Ramlila Security

Ghaziabad: Wave City ACP Priyashri Pal visited the Ramlila venue with a police team to review security arrangements. Wave City station house officer Shailendra Tomar accompanied her during the inspection. The review focused on the safety of devotees and other visitors coming to watch the Ramlila, crowd management and the security of women. Police personnel concerned were instructed to remain alert while on duty and were given directions to maintain peace and law and order at the venue.

During the visit, personnel were directed to remain attentive to their security responsibilities. The movement of devotees and the safety of women amid the crowd were key points of the inspection. Photographs supplied with the report show uniformed police personnel walking through an illuminated event area at night. In one photograph, an officer walking at the front is holding a handheld radio.

Other photographs show police personnel near the entrance to the event area. A carpet patterned with colourful leaves covers part of the walkway, and strings of multicoloured lights hang overhead. Uniformed officers are also seen speaking with one another beside an orange-and-white fabric pavilion. A barricade is visible nearby. Together, the photographs show the police team present in different parts of the venue, including the entrance and the pavilion area.

In the broader context of women’s safety, Mission Shakti aims to promote a safe environment for women and girls and awareness of their security. Safe movement and protection for women in crowds at public events such as Ramlila are connected to that wider priority. The emphasis on women’s safety during the ACP’s inspection formed an important part of the directions concerning visitors’ security and the peaceful conduct of the gathering.
