Four Arrested In Bihar After Video Shows Alleged Misbehaviour With Girl

Police in Samastipur, Bihar, have arrested four accused after a video surfaced showing alleged misbehaviour with a girl in Jagatsinghpur village under the Karpoorigram police station area of the district.

According to the police, the incident is said to have taken place around 15 September. Action in the case began after the video came to light. The accused have been booked under the relevant sections, and action has also been taken under POCSO and the IT Act, police said.

In a related move on Friday, the district administration acted against alleged encroachment on government land by three of the accused. The administration removed constructions linked to the three accused persons.

In the case of the fourth accused, whose construction was described as permanent, the administration issued a notice and directed that the encroached portion be vacated.

Officials also cancelled the licence of a PDS shop belonging to one accused. The police and district administration have taken these steps after the video surfaced and the case was taken up for action.
