Five Arrested for Copper Wire Theft at Muzaffarnagar Solar Plant

Police have solved the theft of copper wire from a solar plant in Shukratal, located in the Bhopa police station area of Muzaffarnagar, and arrested five accused in connection with the case.

A joint team of Bhopa police station and SOG Dehat arrested the five during the investigation. The team recovered eight bundles of POLYCAB company copper wire from their possession, along with 30 thousand rupees in cash.

Police also recovered a Scorpio from the accused. In addition, a Bullet motorcycle worth around 2.55 lakh rupees was seized. According to the police, the motorcycle had been purchased with money obtained from the theft.

The police said the theft took place at the solar plant during the night of 25/26 September. A case had been registered at Bhopa police station in connection with the incident.

During the investigation, the police team received information from an informant about the accused. Acting on that information, the team arrested all five from the area of Janata Inter College on the Bhopa-Belड़ा Road.

The arrested accused have been identified as Aziz Ahmed, Aman, Ashwani Kumar, Gyanbabu and Shahnawaz. Police have started further legal action against all of them.
