In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Firozabad district administration has launched live streaming of cow shelters to ensure the safety and well-being of cattle amidst continuous rainfall. District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Sharma has introduced this innovative and transparent measure to monitor conditions in real-time, marking a significant step in the district's history.

The region has been experiencing uninterrupted rainfall for the past two days, raising concerns about the welfare of cattle in shelters. To address these challenges, the administration is closely monitoring facilities such as green fodder availability, medical care, cleanliness, and drainage systems through digital surveillance. District Magistrate Sharma himself is overseeing the live monitoring process to ensure that the arrangements remain efficient and the cattle face no inconvenience due to the adverse weather.

Officials have been directed to remain vigilant, with specific instructions to ensure adequate provisions like tarpaulins, dry fodder, green fodder, and proper drainage. The Chief Veterinary Officer and block-level officials have been tasked with conducting regular inspections of the shelters. Sharma has emphasized that negligence in shelter management will not be tolerated, and immediate corrective measures will be taken if issues such as waterlogging or poor conditions are identified during live streaming.

The administration has reiterated its commitment to the welfare of cattle, stating that timely medical care for sick animals and overall shelter management are top priorities. This initiative reflects the district’s proactive approach to tackling challenges posed by heavy rainfall and ensuring the safety of livestock.
