Firozabad BSA Withholds Salaries of All Block Education Officers Over Alleged Negligence

The Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) of Firozabad, Anil Kumar Singh, has taken action against all block education officers in the district for alleged negligence in monitoring and completing assigned work. Their salaries have been withheld until further orders.

The action has been taken after no expected improvement was found in the progress of the de-addiction campaign, work related to the accounts of School Management Committees (SMCs), and tasks assigned through the Prashast app.

According to the order issued by BSA Anil Kumar Singh, the block education officers have been directed to complete 100 per cent of the assigned work immediately. They have also been instructed to submit a certified report after completing the work.

The BSA has made it clear that the salary of all block education officers will remain blocked until further orders. The action focuses on shortcomings in monitoring as well as negligence in ensuring compliance within the prescribed time.

The education department’s directions cover the de-addiction campaign, SMC account-related work and the progress of tasks listed on the Prashast app. The officers have been asked to address the pending work and provide the required certified report without delay.
