The complaint was filed by Ajay Maratha alias Aabaso, son of Sayaji Jagdale, a resident originally from Satara, Maharashtra, who runs a shop in Dhanepur area of Gonda. Singhade was employed at the shop when he allegedly committed the embezzlement and absconded with the gold and cash. Following the complaint, a police team was formed specifically to track down the wanted accused and recover the embezzled property.
The police team conducted raids at multiple suspected locations before finally tracing Singhade to his hometown in Tasgaon police station area of Sangli district in Maharashtra. Upon his arrest, Singhade was brought back to Gonda for further investigation into the embezzlement case.
