Eight Madhya Pradesh devotees killed, 17 injured in Kota expressway crash

A tragic road accident took place in Rajasthan’s Kota on Saturday morning, when a tempo traveller carrying devotees from Madhya Pradesh to Khatu Shyam Ji for darshan fell from a culvert on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

The vehicle went out of control and plunged around 15 feet below the culvert. The accident claimed the lives of 8 people from Bhopal and Betul, while 17 passengers were injured.

According to the preliminary information, the passengers had left from Bhopal to visit Khatu Shyam Ji. The tempo traveller was travelling through the Kota area when it met with the accident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

The reason why the vehicle went out of control is being ascertained. Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.

After the accident, chaos broke out at the spot. As soon as information about the incident was received, a relief and rescue team reached the location.

The rescue team pulled the injured passengers out of the tempo traveller and took them to a hospital for treatment. The passengers travelling in the vehicle suffered serious injuries.

The deaths of 8 people and injuries to 17 passengers have caused grief in Bhopal and Betul in Madhya Pradesh. The accident involved devotees who were travelling for Khatu Shyam Ji’s darshan, and the vehicle fell from the culvert during its journey through Rajasthan.

Police are continuing to investigate the accident and are trying to determine how the tempo traveller became uncontrollable on the expressway.
