DM, SSP Conduct Foot Patrol, Review Navratri Security Arrangements

On the first day of the holy Navratri festival, District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Sharma and Senior Superintendent of Police Aditya Langhe conducted a foot patrol from Jain Temple through Center Chauraha, Ganj Mohalla and the Ramlila fair area to Karauli Temple.

During the patrol, the two officials inspected the control room, CCTV cameras and security arrangements put in place at the locations. They also reviewed the arrangements being made for devotees visiting the temples during Navratri.

The District Magistrate said, “Today is the first day of holy Navratri. Along with the Senior Superintendent of Police, I am inspecting all the temples in the district. This inspection has been going on for the past two days. During this inspection, the Senior Superintendent of Police and I are ensuring that devotees do not face any inconvenience.”

The officials also reviewed the route of the Maharaja Agrasen procession, which is being taken out today. Along with this, they took stock of preparations for the staging of the Ramlila.

The District Magistrate made a special appeal to citizens on the occasion and asked everyone to maintain the dignity of the festivals.

The Senior Superintendent of Police said that police personnel had been deployed at the location from a security perspective. He added that barriers and other arrangements had also been put in place so that people could easily have darshan of Mata Rani.

Municipal Magistrate Vinod Kumar Pandey was also present during the inspection. A photograph was attached with the report.
